Where It Started
Team Kennedy began as a vision of its co-founders Sheldon and Jennifer Kennedy in 2002 when Jennifer first became licensed and found herself quickly rising to the top of the Edmonton Real Estate industry. In 2009, Sheldon became licensed and in 2010, together they created their first independent brokerage, Kennedy Real Estate, and grew that into a thriving office of successful Realtors. In 2019, they changed the name to LOCAL Real Estate and prepared for its sale in 2020.
New Opportunities
In 2022, the vision of Team Kennedy became a reality as they were able to become licensed under one brokerage FAIR REALTY, which now operates in both Alberta and BC. Fair Realty has 17 regional offices throughout B.C. and has been operational in that province since 2002. The Kennedy’s are excited about growing the Fair brand now in Alberta!! The Kennedys
Sheldon & Jennifer raised four amazing sons. Mark is now a Chartered Professional Accountant in Edmonton, is married to Sarah and they have two children. Jeff lives in Nelson, BC, as a licensed Realtor Jeff is enjoying managing a division of Team Kennedy in the thriving market of the West Kootenays. Braydon and his fiance’ Emma live in Vancouver where Braydon works for DYS Architecture as an Intern Architect, working toward his registration in the next few years. Jackson, has been licensed since 2019, manages the Calgary division of Team Kennedy, married to Keeley and is enjoying much success in being licensed in both Edmonton and Calgary Real Estate Boards. All four sons are involved with real estate in some capacity which seems only natural as they all grew up listening to ‘real estate’ talk and experienced life with two parents as Realtors.
Recreation
When away from the office, Team Kennedy might be found enjoying time with friends and family on the golf course, skiing and snowboarding in Winter & waterskiing a crystal clear BC lake in the Summer. They look forward to taking their pups to the local dog park, playing an epic game of beach volleyball, and of course, enjoying the next generation of grandkids. They are in the midst of expanding their real estate portfolio with the construction of several new vacation homes in the Windermere/Radium Valley. Their doors are always open and their lives have been enriched with the friendships they have made. They can hardly wait to see what adventures await, the new friends they will meet and the wonderful clients they will have the privilege of serving.
